Task and Goal Progress Calculator
Turn a completed count into a clear percentage while keeping the limits of task counting visible.
Find completed percentage
Use a completed amount and a total amount. Both may be tasks, pages, kilometres, or another consistent unit.
Counting is not always the same as progress
When every task is similar, a completed count makes a good progress measure. If the remaining work is more difficult, expensive, or time-consuming, the percentage is a clear status update but not a prediction of time remaining.
Make the denominator explicit
Always say what the total represents. “37 of 52 tasks complete” is more useful than a bare percentage because another person can see and check the base.
